Hi, friend. My name’s Kevin Li, or K/L for short. I moved to the US at age 5, dropped out of college at 20, and have been living in and around San Francisco since 2014. In 2021 I started Goldsky with my friend and co-founder Jeff Ling.

I’m an optimist, a contrarian, a perfectionist, and believe deeply in regret minimization. It’s for all of those reasons that I started this blog. Every year there are far too many new ideas imagined than can reasonably be explored or remembered. But some of those ideas lead to novel conclusions, and others will go on to remake the world.

This blog is a set of learnings from ideas.

I’ve found effective writing to be one of the hardest things to do, and yet also a powerful forcing function in structuring and distilling thoughts. Not every essay here will be interesting or relevant, but there may be 1 or 2 that you may like. It’s my hope you enjoy reading them as much as I’ve enjoyed writing them.
